I live in North West Leeds, and have worked in mental health services for over 25 years.  My interest in psychotherapy goes back many years but the process of formal training and preparation actually began in 1997.

Qualifications

BSc(hons) Health Studies, MA Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

I completed a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy at the University of Leeds and in addition to private work, I continue to practice as a Visiting Therapist at a Specialist NHS Psychotherapy Department in Leeds.

Professional registration

I am a registered clinical member of the Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association (UPCA) and a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). These are regulatory bodies for Psychotherapists, and membership is restricted to people who have completed a rigorous training.

I am a trustee of the Harry Guntrip Psychotherapy Trust, a charity which aims to increase knowledge of psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy and provide bursaries for those in training.
